Project Point Leo
Project Details
Nestled along the windswept shores of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Project Point Leo is a coastal retreat designed for barefoot living, family connection, and the changing moods of Melbourne weather. A collaborative new build under Twofold Projects, this family beach house was crafted to be equal parts sanctuary and social space—a year-round refuge that feels effortless and deeply personal.
The brief was clear: design a home made to be lived in. It needed to welcome kids, dogs and sandy feet without hesitation, while also serving as a space to work from home and honour the family’s connection to their long-standing café business. The layout was imagined with the seasons in mind—open and interconnected through the summer months, while embracing warmth and intimacy in the cooler seasons.
Claire Cau-Cecile, working as part of Twofold Projects, collaboratively selected the interior specifications and styling, creating a home that balances modern coastal living with nostalgic nods to family heritage. Textures were layered with care—natural timbers, organic finishes and relaxed, tactile materials that mirror the surrounding landscape. Subtle references to the hospitality world were thoughtfully included, adding heart and familiarity to the home’s social spaces.
The home features four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a generous double garage, and a sunlit pool area designed for long summer days. Built by Beach House Constructions, the project blends durability and elegance—offering a relaxed rhythm of life in a beautifully designed space.
